Meet the Board of Directors

Dennis F. Jones, Chairman
Dennis Jones is Managing Director of Stifel Nicolaus, Denver office, a full service regional brokerage and investment banking firm. He brings 30 years of investment banking experience, including senior and affordable housing, healthcare, corporate debt and structured project financings. He is a past member of the Denver Society of Financial Analysts and has served on the NASD Arbitration Board in the Western Region. He is registered as a General Securities Principal.

Sister Sue Artone-Fricke
Sister Sue Artone-Fricke, OSF, has been on the Board of Directors for Marycrest Assisted Living since it opened in 1998, serving as Board Chair 2002-2004. She holds B.S. in Professional Accounting and a Masters in Nonprofit Management. Sister Sue serves her province of Sisters of St. Francis as Chief Financial Officer, is on the Board of National Association for Treasurers of Religious Institutes, and is also a financial consultant for religious institutes around the United States. Sister Sue is committed to quality of life and services for residents at Marycrest Assisted Living, and deeply grateful to staff and management for their commitment to excellence.

Sister Regina Boyle
In 2006, Sr. Regina Boyle celebrated her Golden Jubilee as a Sister of St. Francis. During her years of ministry, Sr. Regina has taught students at the Marycrest High School, led art classes for residents of Marycrest Assisted Living and serve as a member of the Board of Directors.



Sister Genevieve Cuny
Born and raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, Sister Genevieve was taught by the Sisters of St. Francis and the Jesuits during grade and high school. She went on to attend two years of college at Briar Cliff in Sioux City, Iowa. Sister Genevieve joined the Marycrest Franciscans in 1951 and made her first vows in 1954. She continued her education at Regis University, Denver, the University of Detroit, Michigan, and Loyola University in Chicago. In 2004 she celebrated 50 years of service as a Marycrest Franciscan. At the time she was General Treasurer for the Franciscan Sisters in Rome, Italy. In 2005 Sister Genevieve assumed the role of Coordinator of the Marycrest Associates in Sacred Heart Province, Denver.

Don E. Lindley
Don Lindley is a Professor in the Sociology/Psychology Department at Regis University. He retired from the Denver Police Department with over thirty years of experience and recently retired from the U.S. Navy from a career as a Naval Public Information Officer. He is married to Gail, who owns the Denver Bookbinding Company. Don and Gail have a 14 year-old daughter.

Mary Helen Sandoval
Mary Helen Sandoval a long time North Denver resident and currently works as a realtor in the Denver metro area. Her professional career has primarily been in non-profit work developing affordable housing throughout the state, working in neighborhood revitalization and conflict resolution. She is the mother of four daughters and three grandchildren.

Lynn Smith
Lynn Smith owns and operates Kate's on 35th, an organic, natural foods restaurant in Denver. A graduate of Marycrest High School, Ms. Smith has been associated with the Sisters of St. Francis and the Marycrest campus since the 1960's, and helped activate the Marycrest High School Alumni. In addition to her business and extensive civic involvement, Ms. Smith is completing a graduate degree in leadership and public policy at the University of Colorado. She counts her three daughters and the Sisters of St. Francis among her top blessings.
